The Prime Minister's Office is in the limelight after an official press conference transcript appeared to purposely omit details from an awkward question about COVID-19.
The Prime Minister was in Adelaide last week to spruik the federal budget at a GP clinic in the outer-northern suburb of Elizabeth, where he fielded questions from journalists about health and the budget.
The words"Royal Commission" appear to have been omitted, despite being clearly audible in the audio from the press conference. Mr Albanese avoided giving a timeline on when Australians could expect an inquiry into COVID-19 in response to the journalist’s question. “The fact the entire question is clearly audible means it was a deliberate act; It is unacceptable and needs to be called out,” they said.
