Anthony Albanese responds to growing criticism over his early campaign blunder with Sky News Australia Political Editor Andrew Clennell, whose questions prompted the Labor leader’s mistake. Watch Live on Sky News Australia.
Mr Albanese corrected his previous statement during an interview with Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell and conceded his made an error during a campaign stop in Tasmania.
When asked by Mr Clennell whether the mistake could lose him the election, Mr Albanese laughed it off and said: “you are being melodramatic”. “The key test of character is when you make a mistake is do you own it do you set about fixing it and then do you accept responsibility for it and look I accept responsibility for it.”
