The leadership and members of Ekiti Advancement and Development Committee of Friends, on Monday, hailed the appointment of Mr Dele

Alake as Minister of Solid Minerals Development, saying it would advance the economy and development of the state.

The President and Secretary of the group, former Deputy Governor Abiodun Aluko and former commissioner, Taiwo Esan, respectively, appreciated President Bola Tinubu for the appointment, describing it as an apt move that would lift Ekiti in view of the abundant solid mineral deposits in the state. The group, in a statement in Ado Ekiti, titled, “Thank you Mr President for Alake’s appointment, portfolio”, said, “We want to commend Mr President, Bola Tinubu, for appointing Mr Dele Alake, an industrious Ekiti State indigene, as the Minister of Solid Minerals Development.

“Mr Alake has held political positions in the past and he performed excellently well. The ministry he has been assigned to by President Tinubu has a big role to play in a place where Ekiti State needs development.
