A lawyer and chartered accountant, Dr Gbenga Adeoye, has described the Alake and Paramount of Egbaland as one of the non-controversial monarchs in the country. Adeoye, an economic expert also noted that the monarch is always associated with the progressiveness and unity of Nigeria.
The lawyer in a statement made available to DAILY POST on the occasion of the Alake's 81 birthday praised him for being a symbol of unity in Egbaland. Our correspondent reports that Oba Gbadebo, a retired senior military officer, born on 14 September 1943, clocked 81 on Saturday. Adeoye congratulated the Alake noting that his reign has brought tremendous development to Egbaland.
'A man of one wife which is a biblical qualification to be a Bishop or Overseer, lover of his children, both biological and adopted. 'Always willing to associate with anything progressive. 'A king without controversy. 'A king that is concerned about all Egbas wherever they are. 'Some will ask if everything about him is positive, Yes even when we children don't agree with his strong stand on some issues, he does not pretend.
