The Commissioner of Police, CP, Akwa Ibom State Police Command, Waheed Ayilara, has deployed about 2,313 operatives to strategic locations in the state for the Easter celebrations. The locations include worship centres, motor parks and amusement centres.
In a statement by the Command's spokesperson, CSP Odiko Macdon on Friday, Ayilara felicitated with the Christian faithful and the Akwa Ibom State Government on the occasion of the 2024 Easter Celebration. While assuring of adequate security for the celebrations, the CP warned criminal elements to steer clear of the state or face the full wrath of the law if apprehended.
'For a peaceful celebration of the Easter Holidays, the Commissioner of Police has deployed two thousand, three hundred and thirteen Officers and Men of the Command to strategic locations, including worship centres, motor Parks, amusement Centres,, etc for the purpose of providing topnotch security before, during and after the Easter celebrations.
