While inaugurating the council tagged ‘Umo Eno/Akon Eyankeyi campaign organisation at the campaign secretariat, Ewet Housing Estate Uyo; the governor urged members to adhere to issue-based campaigns devoid of calumny, vitriol, mudslinging and violence even as he urged the opponents to reciprocate same.
He also urged members of the PDP to work as hard as they have always done over the years to ensure a resounding victory for the party. Speaking after the inauguration, the Director-General of the Umo Eno/Akon Eyakenyi Campaign Organization, Amb. Assam Assam SAN, assured that the campaigns would be free of violence, thuggery and other political vices.
He intimated the audience that his greatest motivation in public service has always been the bequeathing of an egalitarian society to the youths and generations unborn.
