Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio, has denied allegations that he sought inclusion of his constituency as beneficiary of some Niger Delta Development Commission intervention projects.
“Senator Peter Nwaboshi’s press briefing, in which he alleged that my boss had written to him as a member of the Committee on Niger Delta to request NDDC contracts to the tune of N500 million is false. Nothing could be further from the truth. Meanwhile, two senators from Akwa Ibom State, Albert Akpan and Christopher Ekpenyong, have expressed disappointment over non-confirmation of Mary Uduk who has been the acting director general of Security and Exchange Commission .
