Akpabio absent as Senate Committee opens investigation into alleged N40 billion NDDC scam

The Committee which was constituted by the Senate President, Dr Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan was necessitated by petitions that the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC spent N40 billion in three months.

Addressing the top management of NDDC and top officials of the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs, the Chairman of the Senate Ad-hoc Committee, Senator Olubunmi Adetukunmbi emphasised that the investigation was within the statutory powers of the Parliament, hence, it was not intended to witch hunt anyone.
