City have enjoyed another good week as they progressed comfortably to the Champions League knockout stages on Tuesday night. An Erling Haaland brace and a superb Phil Foden solo goal continued their 100 per cent record in Europe and progression from Group G. Next up for the Blues is a tricky trip to London where a buoyant Chelsea will be looking for another big scalp after comfortably beating Tottenham Hotspur on Monday. No surprises in goal as Pep Guardiola clearly has a favourite in between the sticks. Stefan Ortega has been given opportunities in the Premier League but City are unlikely to deviate from Ederson.John Stones' injury blow will give Guardiola a selection headache. In his absence, the fans have chosen to recall Ake to the back line with Gvardiol remaining on the left-hand side.
Despite visiting a side in form, City fans have opted to take the game to their hosts with an attacking midfield line-up. Alvarez has continued his impressive progression at the Etihad Stadium this year and will feel he deserves a recall.The main battle up front is between Jack Grealish and Doku. Grealish and Riyad Mahrez made a tremendous impact last time City visited the Bridge but Doku is preferred today after his sensational performance against AFC Bournemouth.
