Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Ondo state deputy governor, has asked Olusegun Odusola, chief judge of the state, not to set up a panel to investigate him as requested by members of the assembly.
In a letter addressed to the chief judge, Aiyedatiwa, through his lawyer, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, faulted the impeachment process.Adegboruwa said the assembly breached section 188 of the 1999 Constitution by failing to serve a notice of impeachment proceedings on Aiyedatiwa personally before commencing the process.
“Upon proper examination, the notice presently in circulation is not a document of the house of assembly of Ondo state, properly so-called.
