The House of Representatives has chided Very Important Personalities who disregard COVID-19 safety protocols at the nation’s airports.

The House Committee on Aviation, which said such acts by the VIPs should not be tolerated, decried that leaders who should lead by example were being caught breaking laws. The committee particularly asked the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria and the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority to bar such persons from entry.

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State had also been accused of violating COVID-19 protocols at the domestic wing of the Port Harcourt International Airport, Rivers State. “He said it was regrettable that people who pride themselves as leaders rather than show examples chose to exhibit this type of indiscipline to endanger the lives of both airport workers and other users of the airports.
