boxer Gbadamosi Olawale recovered from a first round knockdown to defeat Gabriel Kingsley in the final fight at the 131st Lagos Boxing Show at the Molade Okoya-Thomas Hall, Teslim Balogun Stadium on Saturday.
“He is a very strong boxer and this was a tough win, Olawale said after the fight. “I am happy I was able to recover quickly and take over the fight.“This victory took months of preparations and I am glad to have won it in front of my family, fellow soldiers and fans.” Brightest Boxing Club’s Kareem Shukurat shone brightly in the Battle of the Shukurats by destroying Oganjimo Shukurat of Hardpunch Boxing Club 5-0 unanimously before Air Force’s Dauda Rasak lost to Omotajo Qudus of Star Boxing Club by the same scores in their 60kg fight.
