To celebrate this year’s International Day of the Girl Child, Aims Media Company Limited organised a sex education seminar to sensitise

Dr. Modupe Olatokunbo Adedeji ; Consultant Obstetrician and Gynecologist of Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Dr. Oluchi Kanma Okafor; President of Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria, Lagos Branch, Dr. Ibironke Sodeinde, MD of Aims Media Company Limited, Haija Aminah Mohammed and Obstetrician and Gynecologist, Dr. Oyewo Oyenike during the commemoration of 2022 International Day for the Girl Child organised by Aims Media.

Speaking at the event, the MD/CEO of the media outfit, Hajia Aminat Muhammad, disclosed that her organisation keyed in to celebrate the globally recognised event since 2017 with the main objective of nurturing and mentoring girls from different backgrounds. Harping on the global theme, “Digital Generation Our Generation” and a sub-theme, “My First Menstruation Experience, In Our Digital Generation Our Generation,” she noted that a lot of girls still do not have proper hygiene during their monthly flow and that the event will teach them how to overcome such challenges and boost self-confidence.

The President, Baytul Sekinah Orphanage Home, Dr Nurah Babalola, whose organisation teamed up with the media outfit to hold the event, urged teenage girls to harness the opportunity of digitalisation to excel in life.
