Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat has expressed concern over the obsessive use of digital devices and platforms, advising people to exploit

the technologies for righteous endeavours that would benefit the human race.

Leader of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jamaat Worldwide, Hazrat Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Khalifatul Masih, had earlier expressed concern over the distractions and potential moral pitfalls presented by modern technologies such as the internet and television. Hayat stressed that people must reduce the time they spend on phones while moderating the activities on the platforms, and explore the gains. He said: “We can explore educational information on sciences and technology to improve human well-being.”

“Those who are regarded as highly developed are often engrossed in frivolities and evil, considering these as freedoms. Under the names of freedom of thought and freedom of conscience, obscene behaviours are displayed in streets, alleys, and markets. Some among us, due to a sense of inferiority, consider these behaviours as civilised and try to adopt them. They try to learn these behaviours under the name of freedom.
