A former Chief of Army Staff, Azubuike Ihejirika, on Thursday asked the government to embrace dialogue to quench the various agitations in the country.He spoke with journalists on the sidelines of the Chief of Defence Staff Lucky Irabor’s visit to Owerri, Imo State capital.
Irabor was in the state to meet with retired senior military personnel from the South-East to discuss ways to quench insurgency in the region and the country. Ihejirika advised the Federal Government to meet with aggrieved groups, saying it was preferable to going to war with them.
