”The management has been making sacrifices to pay the bills, but KEDCO’s sudden increase in the monthly bills from N16-17 million to N50-60 million, plus an accumulated bill of N248 million, has left us struggling.

The Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology, Wudil, has been plunged into darkness following the sudden disconnection of power supply by the Kano Electricity Distribution Company .

The management is now considering three options: shutting down the university, asking the students not to return after their semester vacation, or having them bear the brunt of living without electricity. He said that the institution relied heavily on power to supply water, which has now become a serious issue.
