The Socio-Economic Rights Accountability Project has announced its intention to file a public interest lawsuit against President Bola Tinubu, days after the Department of State Services raid on its Abuja office.

The raid came just hours after SERAP issued a 48-hour ultimatum to President Tinubu, urging him to direct the NNPCL to immediately reduce the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit and probe the NNPCL's operations. Speaking after the raid, SERAP’s Deputy Director, Kolawole Dare, said the organization would not be intimidated by the government’s actions.
