Troost-Ekong and Oshoala, among others, have been shortlisted for the Best Defender and Marta Award categories, respectively. Voting for the awards will be done by fans and experts, with the deadline for fan votes set for December 10, 2024.
Troost-Ekong , Oshoala , and other African players are among the nominees for the 2024 FIFA Best Awards, competing in categories like Best Attacker and Best Defender. Oshoala is also a finalist for the newly introduced Marta Award for the best goal in women's football, due to her acrobatic strike against Benfica. Rodri and Vinicius Junior face off again for the men's best player award, alongside other top players such as Jude Bellingham, Mbappe, Toni Kroos, and Federico Valverde.
Voting will be conducted by fans and an expert panel, with the deadline for fan votes on the FIFA website set for December 10, 2024
