Maj. Gen. Nemesio Gacal, commander of the 4th Infantry Division, said efforts are now underway for the rescue of seven loggers who were forcibly taken on May 30.

They were identified as Ryard Badiang, 24; Wendil Delicuna, 25; Angelo Duazo, 34; Moni Bulando, 20; Rodelo Montenegro, 40; eight-year-old John Badiang and 12-year-old Gerald Sedron. “I ask the family of the kidnapped victims to be patient. The government, will do its best to rescue them,” said Gacal.“I am furiously condemning this act of terrorism of the NPAs with no respect to human rights and the International Humanitarian Law,” said Azarcon.

“The Lanuzanons are disheartened by this heartless incident especially that children aged 8 to 12 years old were also included,” she added.
