The most widely read newspaper in Nigeria
Pan Yoruba socio-political organisation, Afenifere, on Monday, hailed the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi; and the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Saliu Adetunji, for sending delegations to Cotonou, Benin Republic, as the Cour De’appal De Cotonou resumed sitting in the case against Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Igboho.
The group disclosed this in a statement titled, ‘Sunday Igboho Court Hearing: Afenifere Commends Olubadan, Ooni, Other Obas’. It was signed by the National Publicity Secretary of the organisation, Jare Ajayi. Similarly, the Olubadan inaugurated a committee to ensure the rights of Igboho, who hailed from Oyo State and was based in Ibadan, were protected within the ambit of the law.had reported that the separate delegations sent by the two monarchs arrived in Cotonou on Monday to observe the court proceeding in the case against the activist.
