AFCON 2019: Why we defeated Burundi by just 1-0 – Akpeyi, Omeruo
Chelsea defender, Kenneth Omeruo, and Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi, have spoken out after Nigeria’s opening day slim win over Burundi in Group B of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Omeruo said, ”We knew it was a difficult game before the start of the game. They have nothing to lose, they played middle of the pitch and tried for counter attacks.”I have been here for a while, I know how it goes, I just want to take every game as it comes, make sure every game is better than the last one.”
