The African Democratic Congress has assured Nigerians that prominent political leaders, including Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi, will remain united in their mission to transform the country ahead of the 2027 elections, regardless of who emerges as the party’s presidential candidate.

Wayas said the party is still deliberating on whether to zone its presidential ticket or adopt an open primary system, adding that the final decision will be determined by internal negotiations and guidelines of the National Executive Committee before the national convention. There can only be one presidential candidate on the ballot come 2027 from the ADC, and the final decision will definitely come down to our internal party negotiation and NEC guidelines,” she stated.

According to her, the pact uniting Atiku, Obi, and Amaechi goes beyond individual goals and is anchored on their shared commitment to rebuilding Nigeria.
