Adamawa Deputy Governor, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta, has prayed for young men to be raised to emulate the virtues of the late Senator Jonathan Silas Zwingina.

Speaking at his funeral service at the Dishon Dansanda Square on Tuesday in Guyuk, Farauta said, 'Our prayer is that God will raise young men who would wear the shoes of the deceased: fearless and brave leaders.' Farauta said the late senator was a true democrat and mentor that young people should emulate as they join politics.

Zwingina, who died on October 3, 2024, was born on August 1, 1954 at Falu, a rural community in the Guyuk local government area. He came to national limelight in 1987 when he was appointed the director of Mass Mobilization for Social Justice and Economic Recovery, MAMSER, a famous programme of the Ibrahim Babangida government. His next major role was as Director General of MKO Abiola Campaign Organization towards the presidential election of June 12, 1993.
