The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State has confirmed that candidates and chieftains of the party met with the First Lady, Aisha Buhari, amid the crisis rocking the party. The APC chairman in the state, Samaila Tadawus, who confirmed the meeting between the leaders of the party and Mrs Buhari, said it centred on how to reposition the party for victory in the 2023 general elections. The party claimed that despite its challenges, it would wrestle power from the Peoples Democratic Party which controlled the state government by 2023.

"All candidates of the party were dully invited to the meeting and we are grateful that majority of the candidates, executive members and other senior stakeholders honoured the invitation.”

SaharaReporters had earlier reported that the Adamawa State chapter of APC rejected the Presidential Campaign Council list for the state, headed by Binani.
