Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, has condemned former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, for sharing an article critical of President Bola Tinubu's governance. The article, written by US-based Nigerian professor Farooq Kperogi, accused Tinubu of favoring South-Western Nigerians in key economic appointments, drawing a comparison to Buhari's perceived bias towards Northerners in the security sector. While El-Rufai stated that 'two wrongs don't make a right,' Yesufu questioned his stance, suggesting that his silence on similar issues during Tinubu's campaign would have been different if he had secured the coveted 'super minister' position.
Human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu , has blasted the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai , for sharing a critical piece against President Bola Tinubu on X. The piece was authored by US-based Nigerian professor of journalism, Farooq Kperogi . In his weekly column, Kperogi had accused Tinubu of governing Nigeria with a Lagos mindset. Kperogi cited critical appointments made by the President in the economy, which according to him favours mainly people from the South-West.
While quoting the piece by Kperogi on his X handle, El-Rufai said two wrongs don’t make a right, adding that sensible inclusion trumps senseless exclusion. Reacting to El-Rufai's comment, Aisha Yesufu questioned whether the ex-Kaduna governor would have spoken out if Tinubu had appointed him ‘super minister’ as expected. 'Two wrongs don’t make a right but when a wrong is supported by sycophants like you all did, it becomes precedent for wrongdoers to justify their wrongdoings.
