The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), has set up committees to tackle rising insecurity in the Northern part of the country. The committees were inaugurated following a resolution reached at the ACF’s Board of Trustees (BOT) meeting on September 4, 2024.

General Abdulrahman Dambazau , former Chief of Army Staff, heads the second committee which focused on security, adding that “this group is tasked with devising actionable solutions to address the region’s relentless insecurity, which has continued to devastate lives and livelihoods. 'Alhaji Mohammed D. Abubakar, a former Inspector General of Police, serves as the committee’s deputy.
