The Akwa Ibom State coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps, Chinyere Ekwe, has urged corps members to accept their postings and ensure they add value to their employers at their places of primary assignments.
She said that the posting were done in compliance with government’s directive, adding that about 95 per cent of the corps members were posted to schools across the state. Ekwe gave the charge on Monday during the passing out ceremony of the 2021 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 Corps Members which held at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Nsit Antai LGA
She charged the corps members to make good use of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme adding that the programme was designed to equip corps members in various skills acquisition to make them self sustenance after service year. “I would like to appeal to all Corps Members to accept their postings in good fate. Settle down and work towards adding value to employers and the transformation of your host communities through Community Development Service engagement,” Ekwe said.
