Abiodun’s N250bn loan is an attempt to sell Ogun State – NNPP

The New Nigeria People’s Party in Ogun State has rejected the N250 billion loan being sought at the bond market by Governor Dapo Abiodun, describing it as outrageous and an attempt to put Ogun up for sale.It was said that the money, when borrowed, would help in stimulating and growing the state’s economy in the next three years.DAILY POST observed that since the approval by the lawmakers, the loan request has been generating discussions among Ogun indigenes, especially on social media.

The Chairman of the party in Ogun, Olaposi Oginni, told DAILY POST in an exclusive interview that the N250 billion loan was an attempt to put Ogun State up for sale. “The tenure of Gov Dapo Abiodun will expire in less than 30 months. If this Government successfully takes the loan now, the burden of repayment of the loan will surely be on the shoulder of the good people of Ogun State and the next Governor.”
