Abide by Covid-19 SOPs at all times, says PM in Hari Raya address
PETALING JAYA: As the nation gears up for Hari Raya Aidilfitri on Sunday , Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has reminded Malaysians to abide by Covid-19 preventative measures at all times.
“I repeat, there is no need to shake hands. Bowing and smiling is adequate as a sign of respect. God-willing, we will still get the merits of praying while trying to control the spread of Covid-19.” Muhyiddin said the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration this year would be a different affair due to the Covid-19 pandemic, as visits are limited and there are no open houses.
“So, discuss with your siblings and relatives on your home visits. When our relatives are at home, ensure that they practice social distancing and avoid shaking hands.”
