The Abia State government and Bank of Industry have signed a Memorandum of Understanding worth 10 billion naira to support industrialization in the state, with funds to be distributed to entrepreneurs.

The Abia State government has signed a 10 billion naira Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Bank of Industry ( BOI ) for the industrialization of the state. The agreement entails the provision of 5 billion naira by the state government, matched with another 5 billion naira by the BOI . These funds will be allocated to entrepreneurs to support their businesses, covering various sectors of the state's economy.

Shekarau Umar, the Executive Director of MSMEs at the Bank of Industry, highlighted the importance of industrialization for state development, and Mike Akpara, the Abia State Commissioner for Industry and SMEs, emphasized the MOU's benefits for local entrepreneurs and the state
