The Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba, has ordered the posting of CP Kenechukwu Onwuemelie to Abia State Command as the new Commissioner of Police.
Baba also appointed CP Mustapha Mohammed Bala to the Force Headquarters as the Commissioner of Police, Special Protection Unit .
CP Kenechukwu, who holds a B.Sc in Psychology from Anambra State University, joined the Force in 1992. Kenechukwu attended tactical and leadership courses including Policy, Strategy and Leadership Course at NIPSS in Jos and International Course for Police Officers . The new SPU chief holds a Masters degree in law and criminal justice from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and also attended management and leadership courses.
