In a statement signed by the chairman, Kingsley Ononogbu and secretary, Chidi Avaja, the party said Ezeala’s statement did by no means represent its position on the governorship seat which is a subject of legal challenge.
The statement noted that much as Ezeala was entitled to his personal position on the governorship seat being occupied by Otti in controversial circumstances, the party stands by the position of its 2023 governorship candidate, Ikechi Emenike.To this end, the party stated that it would not waver in supporting its candidate until the matter is concluded through legal process.
