Three police operatives have been detained over the alleged murder of the ND 2 Electronic Engineering student of the Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Abdulqoyyum Abdulyekeen Ishola. The late student was allegedly killed last Wednesday at GRA area of Ilorin metropolis by the arrested police men.
The three officers were identified as Abiodun Kayode, Inspector James Emmanuel and Sergeant Oni Philip, attached to the department of operations, Kwara state police command. A memo with Ref.No CZ.5300/FpRD/FHQ/ABJ/Voll.
The officers were consequently detained for investigation. 'The Inspector-General of Police who is deeply saddened by this unfortunate event that has led to the loss of a young Nigerian, expresses his deepest condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of the deceased.
