Abducted 17-year old student rescued in Abuja
A 17-year- old student of Federal Government College Rubochi in The Federal Capital Territory , Abuja, Gift Abiikor, who was abducted on Tuesday January 28, has been rescued and successfully reunited with his family.
According to a statement by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, the student was rescued unhurt around 8.30 pm on 31st January, 2020. “While reassuring FCT residents of its commitment to protecting lives and property in the Federal Capital Territory, the Command wishes to appreciate FCT residents for supporting it with information,” the police said.One Ahmed Adamu had reported to the police that Abiikor was abducted while sleeping with his children around 1am on the said day in Rubochi.
The incident happened at Adamu’s residence, just outside the premises of Federal Government College Rubochi. Commissioner of Police, CP Bala Ciroma, had immediately ordered a discreet investigation into the abduction, to rescue the victim.
