A stretch of the A6 between Preston and Lancaster is closed after a man suffered serious injuries in a crash this morning (Wednesday, September 27).

A man was found with serious injuries inside a vehicle on a grass verge on the A6 Preston Lancaster Road near Forton at around 6.30am this morning Road remains closed in both directions, between School Lane and Station Lane near Forton, after the crash at around 6.30am.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called at around 6.05am today to reports of a vehicle in a grass verge on the A6 near Forton.
