The warning was issued at midnight and it will remain in place until noon, today .Met Éireann has told the public to be aware of"hazardous conditions", as a"band of wintry precipitation will sink southwards with the potential for black ice/freezing rain on surfaces".
Another status yellow weather warning for ice and low temperature for all of Ireland will come into effect at 10pm tonight, and will remain until tomorrow morning at 10am. Again,"hazardous conditions" are on the cards, as well as"sharp to severe frost with icy surfaces". Temperatures, Met Éireann say, are likely to fall to -4 degrees Celsius.The UK Met Office has issued a yellow ice warning for Antrim, Down, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry. This warning will remain in place until 12pm tomorrow.Scattered wintry showers will sink southwards with sunny spells following.
