Nine governorship candidates of the various political parties in Akwa Ibom State on Wednesday signed a peace accord before the State Council of Elders.
In his remarks after the presentation of their manifestos, a former governor of the state, Obong Attah, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the peace meeting.
“Those who have come have seen the benefit of coming. And I want to believe that next time they will be better informed and that they will come, just as Akwa Ibom people are now better informed about their candidates.”
