Uyo –An Akwa Ibom State High Court sitting in Uyo, has ordered the arrest of one Mr. Itoro Uko, a native of Itak Ikot Udo in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area of the state for contempt of court.

Itoro Uko was said have abandoned his wife and a two year-old daughter in the village to live with his side chick in Ikot Ekpene town. She told the court that they got married on January 18, 2020, and gave birth to their first child and after she got pregnant for the second child, her husband starting her resulting in her first miscarriage.

The applicant added that throughout her stay in the hospital, her husband did not show up, noting that it was her siblings that footed her medical bills.
