About 30,000 runners are expected to participate in the maiden Abuja International Marathon scheduled to hold April 29th with some of the country’s best runners competing, The PUNCH reports.

In the next few weeks, we are expecting more runners to register. In all the races, we can have about 30,000 runners registered for the 5km, 10km and full marathon.”

The race, which starts at City Gate and ends at the Car Park behind the Eagles’ Square, is in three categories: the full marathon, 10km race and the 5km for students. Thomas also added that medical teams would be on ground to ensure an injury-free race, while promising that all plans were in place to make the race a success.All rights reserved.
