The Zamboanga del Norte provincial prosecutors’ office has filed a murder case against the principal suspect and two other persons in the killing last May of regional trial court (RTC) Judge Reymar Lacaya.
Charged before the trial court was Juliver Cabating, a contractual court personnel, and two other persons were identified only as “Jerry and Ramil” based on the documents available at the Department of Justice in Manila.
The criminal complaint was also based on CCTV footages and testimonies of witnesses presented to the NBI. “Jerry and Ramil” were also seen in the CCTV footages as running away from the crime scene after the incident. Witnesses said the two suspects were carrying firearms.
