Former Governor of Abia State and the Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, on Monday ruled out the chances of an Igbo presidency through Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, Peter Obi.
Instead, the former chief Whip of the Senate threw his weight behind President Bola Tinubu to complete his eight years, saying he has the capacity to revamp the economy and bring back transformation to the country.
The legislator further affirmed that whoever the people of South East choose to represent the region must be an acceptable candidate for all. On when he thinks the time will be ripe for an Igbo presidency, Kalu evaded the question again before drumming support for the re-election of the President.
