Rangers defender, Kenneth Igboke has vowed to be a good representative of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, in the Super Eagles, DAILY POST reports. Igboke was handed a maiden invitation to the Super Eagles by head coach, Finidi George this week.

The left-back was called up as a replacement for injured Napoli hitman, Victor Osimhen. The young defender joins Olorunleke Ojo and Sodiq Ismail as the three local players in the 23-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic. Igboke has been a regular starter for Rangers since breaking into first team last season. He promised to be a good ambassador of the club and the league in the national team.

“I am indeed delighted with this opportunity extended to me and I promise to make the best possible use of it to ensure that our country’s flag is hoisted at the next FIFA World Cup 2026. I feel so excited,' Igboke told Rangers media. “I feel so happy to have been given this chance and I promise to be an excellent ambassador of my club, Rangers International FC and the NPFL, organizers of the league where we showcase our talent every week.
