Bafana Bafana head coach, Hugo Broos has said his team will not be thinking about revenge when they confront Nigeria in Uyo on Friday. Broos ' men lost to the Super Eagles in the semi-final at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. The former African champions put up a spirited display in the game before losing 4-2 on penalties after the game ended 1-1 in regulation time. The Belgian however said their target is to have a good result against the Super Eagles and not to avenge the defeat.
'We just want to have a great result against Nigeria, because it's the qualifier for the World Cup. We don't think about revenge. 'It's a totally different game, we play for qualifiers for the World Cup and you know losing the game should not really be a disaster because after those two games we have six games to play but I would rather not have a defeat in Nigeria,' the former Club Brugge coach told reporters. 'We all know about them but they know all about us also.
