2023: Police arrest APC Chairman over electoral fraud [PHOTO] via politicsngr

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the APC leader was accused of planning to perpetrate electoral fraud in the forthcoming 2023 general elections.The offence is contrary to section 21 and 22 subsection 1 , and of the electoral act 2022 of Nigeria as amended.

The police has already transferred the suspect to the department of criminal investigation of Kano state command in Bompai for further investigation. Reacting to the development, opposition parties and civil society organizations demanded an immediate prosecution of the suspect, while urging authorities to protect democratic principles.
