“Katch Ononuju, politician, economist, historian, public affairs commentator, distinguished scholar, and currently, Director-General of the Heritage Centre in Abuja has be appointed Special Adviser to HE Peter Obi on Public Affairs,” Okupe’s statement reads.
Meanwhile, the Labour Party on Friday inaugurated its 1,453-member presidential campaign council weeks after facing backlash from some supporters over the inclusion of certain persons in the council. The party, however, declared that its candidate, Obi, does not have the money to fund the campaign alone.
Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the party, at the inauguration, appealed to members for financial support as they commenced campaign activities in earnest.
