The Labour Party has lambasted the federal government for discrediting the European Union’s conclusion on the 2023 General Election.
The EU observers stressed that the trust reposed in the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, was damaged during the general election. The FG rejected the EU’s submission on the election, asking them to be “objective in all their assessments of internal affairs”. A statement by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, said the LP “stands by the position of the EU observation mission, stressing that it has “always said that this election was massively rigged in favour of the APC and their candidate”.
