Former President of the Senate, Senator David Mark, has urged aggrieved candidates in the just-concluded 2023 general elections, not to resort to self-help.

The former leader of the federal legislature also reiterated his call for peaceful coexistence between and among various religious and ethnic groups in the country, insisting that only a harmonious relationship can engender development.

Senator Mark, who shelved his 75th birthday celebration on account of the state of the nation, especially deteriorating security situation, decried the recent killings in Otukpo and Apa local government areas and other parts of Benue State.He described the killings of defenseless citizens as senseless, pointing out that many people have been rendered homeless and helpless.
