Political science professors at the University of Nigeria Nsukka say it will be impossible to conduct all elections in one day during the 2023 general elections.

They said this in Nsukka on Friday in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria while reacting to opinion in some quarters.

NAN reports that the nation’s electoral umpire had in previous national polls scheduled state elections a week earlier or later than national elections. Prof. Aloysius Okolie, said that conducting all the elections in one day would be impossible because the country lacked the manpower to do such without the process losing its credibility.

“Yes, if it is possible to be conducted in a day it will save cost but it is impossible because of the dearth of manpower.’’
