2019: Election tribunals get 736 petitions

A breakdown of the number, made public on Thursday by the election petitions coordinating office at the Court of Appeal, revealed that four petitions have so far been filed in respect of the presidential election.

Court of Appeal’s spokesperson, Sa’adatu Musa Kachalla, revealed that 207 petition have been filed in relation to the Senate elections. As regards the presidential election, the first was filed by Hope Democratic Party and Ambrose Owuru, who claimed to be the party’s presidential candidate.Lessons from inconclusive elections

The third marked: CA/PEPC/003/2019 was filed by the Coalition for Change and Geff Ojinika, who claimed to be the party’s presidential candidate.
