The Bayelsa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday says it will petition the state government and Governor Douye Diri to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) to explain the spending of N3 billion that accrued to each of the eight local government areas of the state. The N3 billion came from the withheld 13 per cent derivation funds released to oil-rich states by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Chairman of APC in Bayelsa State, Dr Denise Otiotio, stated this on Tuesday while speaking with journalists at a Correspondent's Forum organised by the Federated Correspondents' Chapel of NUJ in Yenagoa, the state capital.
